School Uniform

We promote the wearing of a uniform as it helps to create an identity for the academy and is an important part of being a student. Wearing the academy badge enables students to feel proud to be a member of Orion Academy. It also prepares students for the world of work. However, we also recognise that in order to promote attendance and to meet our pupils’ needs, it is sometimes necessary to make reasonable adjustments to the uniform policy.  We encourage students to wear the following items, but this is optional.

• Black school trousers or plain tracksuit bottoms (no jeans, or shorts), black skirt: can be purchased from any retailer, including secondhand retailers: worn throughout the school year
• Plain grey polo shirt: worn throughout the school year: Orion Academy logo optional
• Burgundy sweatshirt:  worn throughout the school year: Orion Academy logo optional
• Plain black school style shoes or plain black trainers: can be purchased from any retailer, including secondhand retailers, worn throughout the school year
